About Martin Primary School
Martin Primary School was opened in September 2007 after the amalgamation of Martin Junior School and Martin Infant School.
In the last Ofsted report (2012) the report states that 'Martin Primary School provides an outstanding education for its pupils. The headteacher provides inspirational leadership, ably supported by a very strong leadership team and an excellent governing body.' We continue to work hard to ensure we maintain this standard. Martin Primary School is a large school and is in the process of transforming into a three form entry school.
We strive for excellence in all curriculum areas and seek to develop children's talents in the arts, music and sport as well as in English and mathematics. Our curriculum is challenging and offers learning opportunities to all children. We are committed to providing a safe, secure and stimulating environment within which children can grow, develop and learn.
Martin Primary School has a strong tradition of partnership, so that teachers and governors, parents and children work alongside each other to achieve high standards of work and behaviour.
